By its commitment to the Objectives of Sustainable Development and its environmental impact, social and economic in Bahía Solano and Juradó, Chocó, the project was selected among the best in the edition 2020 of the Awards Latin america Green in the Forest category and Flora.
This recognition is the result of a joint effort between the General Community Council of the Northern Pacific Coast of Chocó - Los Delfines, the Cupica Community Council, located in the municipalities of Bahía Solano and Juradó, Chocó, Colombia, and BIOFIX BIC.
DELFINES CUPICA REDD+ is a project that has reduced and compensated for nearly three million tons of CO2e, conserved 103,000 hectares of native forests, and has used the resources it has generated to improve the quality of life for more than 7,000 people belonging to the community councils that make it up.
